POSITION DESCRIPTION: Sales Development Representative

As a small company, we are not afraid to take on the industry giants to provide the best solutions possible for our customers. We are looking for an energetic and motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) who is passionate about technology and enjoys supporting a team that engages prospective customers.

You will develop a deep understanding of how Hivecell’s edge as a service platform can help organizations across the world meet their edge requirements. You will engage and cultivate relationships with key decision makers and represent the front line of Hivecell’s sales team. Your mission will be to find active opportunities in your assigned territory and set up the first qualified meeting between the sales team you support and the key stakeholders within an organization. You will be responsible to do what is necessary – inbound and outbound calls, emails, tradeshows, demos, closing deals. – to generate the interest needed to lock in the first meeting. Focus will be on top of the funnel activities, which drive an increase in overall pipeline with a significant number of net-new logos coming from the opportunities you create.

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Development Representative with a driven work ethic who can fit into a fun, collaborative, and results-oriented work culture. We are particularly interested in people who are looking to make a sustained, longer-term commitment to our business and get their hands dirty in the world of high tech.

Duties:

  • Prospect to find new opportunities
  • Identify, qualify, and set appointments for sales counterparts
  • Deep understanding and research of key accounts
  • Help progress opportunities as needed and directed
  • Close opportunities
  • Qualify and respond to daily inbound marketing leads
  • Occasionally attend regional trade shows to meet with prospects face-to-face
  • Work closely with Directors to identify sales targets, initiatives, penetrate new accounts
  • Work closely with software partners and VARS
  • Continually keep up with current network visualization trends, companies, news releases, and other competitive information
  • Prior use of Hubspot is a huge plus and will be a daily requirement, use of other sales enablement tools with be required as well (training on these will be provided for the right candidate)

Qualifications:

  • Ability to interact and build relationships with all levels of customer and prospect organization
  • 2 years experience in similar role
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead meetings effectively by web or phone
  • Excellent organizational, task management, and follow-through skills
  • Strong desire and ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Strong team player but able to work under own initiative
  • Ability to efficiently manage and prioritize various sales-related activities and fluently adapt to shifting priorities
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working in a small company environment that requires working independently and being self-motivated
  • BA/BS Degree in related field
  • Developing strong relationships and building networks
  • Comfortable dealing with a global customer base and interacting in a multicultural environment
  • The ability to clearly communicate the business value of Hivecell’s solutions to varying roles in an organization
  • Ability to optimize performance and results in a fast-paced environment and thrive under pressure
  • Not afraid to pick up the phone and call someone they have never spoken to
  • Must be highly competitive and want to work for a start up
